Backend and infrastructure engineering — distributed caching, build tooling,
developer productivity, and whatever broke the build at 3am. Currently working
on the build platform for Tableau at Salesforce: remote cache systems, auth
infrastructure, artifact management, code signing, PKI, and IaC with Terraform
and EKS. Outside
of work, I tinker with dev tooling and Vedic astrology — sometimes both at once.
I use AI to ship real infrastructure — not to slap "AI/ML Practitioner" on my
LinkedIn after wrapping an LLM API call in a toy RAG.
- Build platform for Tableau's cloud and on-prem products — Bazel, Gradle, Teamcity, Artifactory
- Auth & access control for remote artifact stores using OIDC federation, IAM roles, and SSO
- Infrastructure as Code for build environments — Terraform modules, Go tooling, EKS clusters
- Designed a multi-level distributed cache layer in AWS for Bazel and Gradle remote execution
- Built a unified auth service — LDAP, IAM, MFA — replacing fragmented per-team auth subsystems
- Threat modeling and security assessments for CI/CD pipelines and binary repositories
- Migrated legacy on-prem services to AWS — rearchitected for multi-AZ redundancy
- Oracle → Postgres migration on GCP — Python, Jenkins, Ansible automation across 500+ customer accounts
- Replaced JGroups with Kafka for container-based deployments, enabling stream processing workloads
- Built log analysis and exception tracking with Elasticsearch, Logstash & Kibana
- Full-stack groupBy/aggregation engine — Java REST backend consumed by reusable Angular components
- Access log and stack trace analysis tooling, REST API data grouping/aggregation
- AngularJS → Angular 5+ migration, SystemJS build pipeline with Gulp
S3-primary remote build cache for Bazel. Implements the Bazel Remote Execution API with S3 as the backing store — a self-hosted, cost-effective alternative to managed cache services. Deployed on Kubernetes with Helm, TLS via ACM, and NLB integration.
Context budget and rot monitor for AI coding agents. Visibility into LLM context window consumption.
Open-source Vedic astrology calculation library built on the Swiss Ephemeris. Birth charts, divisional charts, dashas, yogas.
